In “The Devil Wears Prada,” Miranda Priestly is a demanding fashion magazine editor who loves Prada and wears it everywhere. Meryl Streep plays her in the film, which is based on the best-selling book by Lauren Weisberger.
Saks Fifth Avenue and Marissa Collections, the two area stores that sell Prada, have discounted a selection of the designer’s handbags and shoes 30 percent in advance of the June 30 opening.
If you’re going to wear a designer label, you have to let it show. This brown nylon bag ($548.90) shouts Prada: You can’t miss the name in the center of the bag. The color, design and natural leather handle bring it into the forefront of fashion.
This zippered beige cosmetic case ($86.90) is great for incidentals and can be used as a small evening bag. You might enjoy carrying something with the distinctive silver triangle status symbol.
Prada Sport makes these brown kitten heel sandals ($219.90). They are as comfortable as they look, and will take you through the seasons.
Even angels will enjoy wearing the high fashion designs of Prada.
