Old 41 Road offers historic look at Bonita

Our look at the Old 41 Road historic corridor ends this week with a look at the most recognizable buildings along that highway.

From Riverside Park and its expensive make-over to buildings like the Shangri-La Hotel and Spa and Dixie Moon Cafe, the corridor boasts some of the most distinctive architecture in the city of Bonita Springs.

Nineteen properties are on the city's list of historic resources — all at their owners' request. Not all the historic properties find their way on the list, like the Shangri-La.

With the Bonita Springs City Council's workshop June 28 on the planned redevelopment of the former Bamboo Village trailer park, the face of the historic corridor may never be the same.

Here's today's look at what it offers today.
