The victim of Saturday’s apparent drowning in Estero Bay has been identified as a San Carlos Park man.
The body of Bruce A. Clark, 58, of 17610 Oriole Road, was found just before 2 p.m. Saturday under docks on the canal side of Fort Myers Beach.
According to Lee County Sheriff’s reports, three boaters in Estero Bay saw the body floating under docks near 5571 Avenida Pescadora.
Clark was found in street clothes and tennis shoes, Lee County Sheriff’s spokesman Angelo Vaughn said. He did not appear to have been in the water very long, Vaughn said.
Toxicology tests and a cause of death are pending, but police are treating the incident as a drowning, Vaughn said.
