Personally speaking

• Dr. Denise C. Gay, a Naples dentist, has been awarded diplomate status by the American Board of Periodontology. The board is recognized by the American Dental Association as the national certifying board for the dental specialty of periodontics.

Gay is a graduate of New York University's School of Dentistry and received her advanced certificate in periodontics from the University of Tennessee.

• John Henry and John Richard Munro, retired business executives, have joined the board of trustees of the David Lawrence Foundation for three-year terms.

• Dr. Laura A. Kaiser, a dentist, has opened a new practice at Bonita Professional Park, 28331 U.S. 41 S., Bonita Springs. Kaiser is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine. Information: 949-8220

• Mary Ellen Masterson-McGary, chief medical physicist for the NCH Regional Cancer Institute, has been elected chairman of the board of chancellors of the American College of Medical Physics.
