Naples-based Orion Bancorp, holding company for Orion Banks, surpassed the $2 billion mark in total assets last week, according to officers.
"We are extremely proud to achieve yet another milestone in our history," said Jerry J. Williams, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Orion. "Our growth has been made possible through the loyal support of our customers, the expertise of our staff and our ongoing commitment to providing the highest quality customer service."
Founded in 1977, Orion entered the Naples market in 1996. Orion reported $1.8 billion in assets on Dec. 31, 2005. That increased to $1.95 billion as of March 31.
