Sports memorabilia

You can bid on a Gene Sarazen autographed golf bag, a Shaquille O’Neal autographed basketball, a Yogi Berra autographed baseball, a Jason Varitek Boston Red Sox photograph and many more pieces of sports memorabilia from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Radisson Beach Suite Resort, 2045 Rookery Bay Drive, Naples. Proceeds benefit the Marco Island YMCA. Free. Information: 250-2175

Alzheimer‘s fundraiser

Alzheimer’s Support Network will benefit from a fundraiser to be held from noon-6 p.m. Sunday at Stan’s Idle Hour, 221 Goodland Dr., Goodland. Entertainment, an auction and raffle prizes will be part of the event. Information: 262-8388

Pet portraits

Pet photographer John Sciarrino is reducing his fee from July 21-29, donating the proceeds to Collier County Humane Society. Appointments required. $25. Information: 263-2229

Donations needed

-- The Humane Society of Lee County, 2010 Arcadia St., Fort Myers, needs dry dog and cat food, cat litter, bleach, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap and dog shampoo. Monetary donations also welcome. Donations may be dropped from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and from noon-4 p.m. on Sundays. Information: (239) 332-0364

Good deeds

-- David Lawrence Foundation received a $5,000 grant from Trinity-by-the-Cove Church. The grant will be used to fund the center’s medication assistance program, which provides free or discounted psychotropic medications to disadvantaged clients with persistent mental illnesses.
