Collier man arrested in New Orleans

A Collier County man who was arrested in January, bonded out, and then failed to appear for his court appearance was captured Tuesday night in New Orleans, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Michael O’Brien, 43, had a warrant out for his arrest for two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. He will be extradited back to Florida, but it is not known when. If he fights extradition, a Governor’s Warrant will be needed to bring him back, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
