County offers free admission to water park

Inclement weather for Wednesday’s Sun-N-Fun Lagoon water park opening has county officials offering a rain check.

On Wednesday, Collier County residents with identification were able to enter the park for free between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. for its grand opening. Because of lightning in the area, the planned three-hour swimming time was cut to 20 minutes.

The county announced that residents are getting another chance at a free swim.

Collier residents again will be able to enter the park for free today at 4 p.m. as water park capacity allows.

The National Weather Service said Southwest Florida has another chance of storms this afternoon.
