I am distressed and dissatisfied with my District 14 U.S. House representative: the Honorable Connie Mack. The Republican Party, in all of it fractious wisdom, opted for multigenerational “star name” Connie Mack over legislatively knowledgeable, hard-working and party loyal Carol Green. Unfortunately, we, the people, are the losers.
Rep. Mack has demonstrated the only thing he can be relied upon to pursue with due diligence are campaign contributors in the House. Before he makes himself too comfortable in what some regard as his, by rights of progenitor, I say we in the 14th District will be well-served to conduct a thorough house-cleaning.
Bring honor back to Congress. Robert M. Neeld of Cape Coral is a Florida-born, longtime Lee County resident. A registered Democrat, Robert Neeld is very worthy of our consideration for this seat. His community service is already well-known and admirable. His skills as an accountant will be a valuable asset for the oversight functions — congressional tasks which are so vital to restore and maintain our trust in government. Said tasks which our present Congress has failed to perform.
I’ll choose Neeld in November. We need an honorable representative for District 14 who will not sell us out to lobbyists from here to Alaska!
