Boil water notice issued in North Naples

A boil water notice was issued this afternoon for several North Naples communities as a precaution following a water main break.

The county’s Public Utilities Division said a 20-inch water main break occurred on Immokalee Road, which caused reduced pressure to the water distribution center along Livingston Road. The reduced pressure triggered a boil water notice for several communities as a precaution.

Those communities are Milano, Tuscany Reserve, Delasol, Mediterra, Aston Garden and Quail Woods.

Water service and pressure has been restored, but the precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until samples have been tested, the county said.

The notice is expected to be lifted late Saturday.
