Storms possible today in SW Florida

Southwest Florida could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. today.

Temperatures are expected to climb to 86 degrees with winds out of the northwest at about 6 mph, the National Weather Service reports. The relative humidity will be at 82 percent with a heat index of 80 degrees. Tonight, temperatures will drop to 74 under partly cloudy skies.

Another batch of storms is also likely for Sunday, the weather service said.

On Sunday, temperatures will reach about 87 degrees with westerly winds between 5 to 8 mph. Sunday's low will be 76.
