Wedding: Dayton — Stakely
Kathlene Marie Dayton and William Harrison Stakely were married by the Rev. James Kirk on April 29 at the Sweetwater Branch Inn in Gainesville.
The bride, daughter of Dennis and Suzanne Dayton of Naples, is a graduate of Barron Collier High School and the University of Florida. She is the event supervisor at Cox Arena in San Diego.
The groom, son of Bill and Bonne Oliver and James and Barbara Stakely, all of Gainesville, is a graduate of Gainesville High School. He is the lighting manager for Power Plus Corp. in Vista, Calif.
Lauren Rae of Gainesville was the maid of honor. Courtney Connolly of Naples and Lori Brooks of Valencia, Calif. were bridesmaids.
The groom's brother, Chris Stakely of Gainesville, was the best man. Matthew Paladino of Jacksonville and Randall Hudson of Gainesville were groomsmen. Chip Veley and Luke Spurlin, both of Gainesville, were ushers.
The couple honeymooned in Del Mar, Calif. and reside in San Diego.
Wedding: Drew — Lawrence
Patricia A. Drew and Jeffrey A. Lawrence were married on May 20 at the Unity Church. A reception at the Charles Allen residence in Naples followed.
The bride, daughter of William M. Drew Jr. of Jacksonville, is a graduate of Naples High School and is a seafood specialist with Publix Supermarkets.
The groom, son of Audrey Sposito of Naples, is a graduate of Homestead High School and is a site manager for C. Allen Properties.
Somer Zahn of Naples was the maid of honor. Ashley Powell of Atlanta; Debbie Frederick of Fort Myers; and Melissa Drew of Naples were bridesmaids.
Michael Walters of Naples was the best man. David Christainsen and Dave Allen, both of Naples, were ushers.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas and Indianapolis and reside in Bonita Springs.
Anniversary: Cristaldis celebrate 60 years
Mario and Jennie Cristaldi of Naples celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 22 with family and friends. The couple were married in Rochester, N.Y. after meeting at a U.S.O. dance during World War II. They have been residents of Naples for 21 years relocating from Highland, N.Y.
Jennie Cristaldi was a secretary for the Highland Central School District before retiring and was selected as the Secretary of the Week by a Poughkeepsie radio station. She received a 50-year membership pin from the Catholic Daughters of America. Mario Cristaldi retired from IBM's manufacturing department and received a 50-year membership pin for the American Legion.
The couple's children and spouses are Catherine and Paul Thomas of The Villages and Joseph Cristaldi and Margaret Brenker of San Diego.
Anniversary: Reeds celebrate 70 years
Robert J. and Helen M. Reed celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on June 23 with their family at the Red Lobster Restaurant in Deptford, N.J.
The couple were married in Bethlehem. Pa. They relocated to Naples from Barrington, N.J. Bob Reed owned Reed's Nursery and Landscape, and in retirement he enjoys raising palm trees and doing wood carvings of birds.
The couple's children are Robert Packer of Marco Island and Nancy Letts of Mullica Hill, N.J. They have seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
