Model of the week: Elegant detail defines Toll Brothers' Monteverdi model

Elegant detail defines the Monteverdi, a furnished model by Toll Custom Homes, a division of Toll Brothers.

Located within Shadow Wood Preserve in south Fort Myers, the Monteverdi offers three bedrooms, 4.5-baths and a study encompassing 3,515 square feet of air-conditioned living space. With the three-car garage, lanai and entry, the home has 4,708 total square feet.

Created by Robb & Stucky, the interior features a décor rich in detail with shades of cream and accents of gold. Furnishings include customized accessories incorporating Oriental antiques into a traditional design. Extensive architectural enhancements, such as mosaic tile insets in the entry, faux finishes in the tray ceiling and hand-stenciled wall treatments, highlight this design.

From the entry, the pool and golf course beyond are viewed across the formal living room. The conversation area features comfortable seating in neutral tones set upon a tropical patterned area rug. A tapestry above the credenza repeats the palm theme and provides a sophisticated accent.

Throughout the home art niches provide focal points, utilizing a variety of objects, such as a metal sculpture near the entry and a framed print highlighted within the arch of the wet bar.

The dining room is accented with a decorative screen in gold foil.

The study provides a perfect spot for a quiet meeting or working at home. In addition to a leather-top work desk in rich tones of wood, there is a second desk with hutch, which provides ample storage.

The gourmet kitchen features clerestory glass above the wood cabinets and glass running the length of the counter below flood the granite countertops with natural light. A granite-topped island expands the work area, while a bar opening into the leisure room offers additional room for casual dining.

The adjacent breakfast nook views the pool through seamless mitered windows.

The leisure room incorporates overstuffed sofas facing the media center and includes sliding glass doors opening to the pool.

The master suite occupies one wing of the home, creating a private retreat decorated in cream tones and accents of deep red, echoing the serene influence of Oriental design. A seating area in the bedroom offers a comfortable place for reading or a morning cup of coffee.

The master bath includes twin vanities, a Roman soaking tub, separate shower and private water closet.

Two guest bedrooms each include a private bath.

Outdoors, the custom pool features a waterfall, ledgestone spa and an outdoor kitchen.

The Monteverdi is priced at $1,499,975 and is available for immediate occupancy.

The model is open on Saturday and Sunday or by appointment by calling Brian Emmons at Toll Brothers.
