REIS to meet
Economist Henry H. Fishkind, PhD, will present the economic forecast for Southwest Florida at the Real Estate Investment Society’s (REIS) luncheon meeting to be held on Tuesday, July 11. Fishkind will also explain the impacts of economic conditions and trends on the area’s real estate market. Following the presentation, he will respond to questions of specific interest to the real estate investment and development industry. Fishkind’s economic forecast is being presented on behalf of the Southwest Area Real Estate Council. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at Pelican Preserve’s Town Center on Colonial Boulevard, one mile east of I-75, Exit 136, Fort Myers. Admission is $25 for members and $35 for guests, which includes lunch. Site work under way
Earth work and site preparation is progressing at Colonial Lakes, a new Fort Myers community being developed by Toll Brothers. Completion of one lake and work has begun on the three other lakes that will be in the community, according to Brian Emmons, senior project manager. In addition, work on the homesites has been on-going and preparations are moving ahead toward our sales opening in late July. Located on approximately 106 acres, Colonial Lakes will feature coach homes, carriage homes and condominiums. Amenities planned include a resort-style clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts, separate neighborhood pools and walking and biking paths. Colonial Lakes is located on Challenger Boulevard, off Colonial Boulevard, two miles west of Interstate 75.
Additional office
South Bay Realty has opened its fourth office. Located in eastern Collier County, the Ave Maria-Golden Gate Office is at 1360 Immokalee Road, near the intersection of Immokalee and Oil Well roads. The office coordinator is Dally Fuentes.
Sites remain
Ryland Homes has 11 estate homesites, with homes priced from the mid-$400s, remaining for sale at Heron Creek, a luxury golf course community off Sumter Boulevard two miles west of Interstate 75 in North Port. Jessie Hearns, sales and marketing manager for Ryland Homes in the Fort Myers region, said Ryland has four- and five-bedroom single-family estate home designs at Heron Creek that range from 2,597 square feet of living space to 3,500 square feet.
Contract granted
Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) has awarded Stevens Construction a contract to build the 8,138-square-foot Immokalee distribution and service center located on Global Drive in Immokalee. The facility will house the 5,912-square-foot warehouse and distribution center, as well as the 2,226-square-foot administrative office space. Situated near the Immokalee Regional Airport, the center will serve as the main service and distribution hub for LCEC’s east Collier County territory. Designed by Alliance Design Group, the building will be constructed of masonry and pre-engineered metal. Ground-breaking is scheduled for August, and the project is scheduled for completion by the end of January 2007.
Conference attended
Weichert, Realtors - On The Gulf was represented by broker/owner Jerry Osinski, Manager Alex Spiotta and Realtors Sarah Carpenter, Cynthia Jones and Donna Mitchell at the second national convention of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates Inc. held May 17-19 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. Other members of the staff and sales team also attended the conference along with representatives from the franchise organization’s 240 signed offices. During the event, Spiotta was recognized as a member of the Weichert 2005 Executive Club.
Interior design projects completed
Beasley & Henley Interior Design, with offices in Naples and Winter Park, has completed the extensive design of The Bellamy on Bayshore Tower for JMC Development in Tampa. The design firm began the design of this 21-story condo tower at the blue print phase in 2003. Lead by Principal Designer Troy Beasley the design team included two of the firm’s interior architects and two design assistants. The scope of work included extensive interior detailing in amenity areas, interior design drawings and elevations for construction, electrical designs, reflected ceiling plans, floor designs, all interior specifications, wall treatments, specialty wine cellar design and furnishings. This is Beasley & Henley’s second project with this Tampa based developer.
The firm also completed the design, specifications, floor plan review and option packages for the Baldwin Harbor condos in Baldwin Park Orlando. The developer is the Rock Companies from Chicago. The design team, lead by Principal Designer Troy Beasley, contributed to Floor Plan revisions, Unit Specification Packages, including standard and upgraded products, and created all elements of the common areas and model including flooring, wall finishes, ceiling treatments, interior detailing and furnishings.

Naples Miracle Six LLC has purchased a 1.84-acre commercial site located at 4535 U.S. 41 East in Naples from 4535 East Trail LLC. for $1,322,841. Scott R. Dunnuck and George B. Atkinson of CB Richard Ellis, Fort Myers-Naples represented the seller and Premier Plus Realty represented the buyer.
