The following blood drives will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today:
• Community Blood Center of Naples, 311 Ninth St. N., first floor of NCH Medical Plaza Building, Naples
• Bloodmobile at Waterside Shops, 5415 U.S. 41 N., Naples
• Lee Memorial Blood Center at Lee Memorial Hospital, 2776 Cleveland Ave. (U.S. 41), Fort Myers; Cape Coral Hospital, 646 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral; and HealthPark Medical Center, 9981 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers
• Bloodmobile, Old Navy, Page Field Commons, 4977 South Cleveland Ave. (U.S. 41), Fort Myers
Donors at the Community Blood Center will receive a $10 gas card while supplies last.
Pre-diabetes seminar
Learn how to manage your health at a pre-diabetes seminar from 8 to 9 a.m. Monday at the NCH Wellness Center, 300 Goodlette-Road S., Naples. If you have fasted for 12 hours before the seminar, you can get a free blood sugar screening. A free high-carbohydrate breakfast will be served.
Free counseling services
Free abuse counseling in English or Spanish will be available to residents of Bonita Springs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Appointments: 939-3112
Free caregiver training
The Caregivers Assistance and Regional Education will sponsor free classes for caregivers twice a week for two weeks from 1 to 4 p.m. (beginning July 11) at Herons Glen, 2250 Avenida Del Vera, North Fort Myers. Registration required. Information: (866) 231-0921
