Kirkum — Maness
Tonya M. Kirkum, daughter of Mark Kirkum and Mary Kirkum of Marco Island, was married April 15, 2006, to Russell D.
Maness, son of Russell L. Maness and Mary Beth Michael of McLeansville, N.C.
Their ceremony was held on Atlantic Beach and a reception followed at the Sea Turtle Inn and Resort.
The couple reside in Norfolk, Va.
ENGAGEMENT
Schaefer-Levasseur
Robert and Elaine Levasseur of Marco Island announce the engagement of their son, Peter Robert Levasseur, to Sara Elizabeth Schaefer, daughter of William and Laura Schaefer of Portland, Ore.
The groom-to-be graduated in 1992 from Chelmsford High School in Massachusetts.
He received a bachelor's degree in environmental science from the University of Massachusetts and a master's degree in biology from Portland State University.
The bride-to-be received a bachelor's degree in biology from Portland State University.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 26 in Portland.
Student of the month
Jenna Vallera, daughter of Tim and Robin Gane of Wellsville, Ohio, and Jeff and Ann Vallera of Marco Island, was named the Lions Club Student of the Month for April.
Jenna was ranked eighth in the Wellsville High School Class of 2006 with a 3.833 grade point average. Among her accomplishments are two-year National Honor Society member, honor roll, awarded excellence in Chemistry I and named in Who's Who Among American High School Students.
Her extracurricular activities include WHS band member, ACTION, Academic Challenge, Key Club and Spirit Club, editor of the WHS Tiger Tales yearbook and she works for the Tiger Rag newspaper.
She also finds time to participate in various community services.
She plans to attend Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio with a major in sports medicine.

• Bianco Suzanne and Isabel Marie were born May 25, 2006, to Alberto Varetto and Danielle Dodder of Marco Island. Bianco weighed 5 pounds and Isabel weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces.
• Santino Adrei was born May 30, 2006, to Oscar Galvez and Natalia Chevtchenko of Marco Island. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces.
• Michelle was born June 2, 2006, to Kenneth Rodriguez and Sara Pastrana of Marco Island. She weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces.
