Fire burns 20 acres in Estates; no homes threatened

Firefighters are battling a blaze this evening in Golden Gate Estates.

No one has been injured and no structures are threatened, officials said.

The location of the fire is south of Dove Tree Street, which is south of Golden Gate Boulevard in the unblocked section of the Estates. The fire is mainly in farm fields and has burned about 20 acres.

Crews late this afternoon were working to access the fire. Golden Gate firefighters are working with the Florida Division of Forestry.
