The Arthur Allen Tennis Center at Cambier Park will host the Drop Shot Junior Classic on July 7-9. This USTA- sanctioned event has boys and girls from all over the state competing in singles in 10s, 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s.
The entry fee is $30 per person. There will be a consolation bracket for first-round losers. The entry deadline is Wednesday, July 5 at 5 p.m.

Bonita Bay Club is offering a Junior Tennis X- Fest, beginning on July 6, for juniors who are not ranked.
The festival includes a tennis clinic, tournament (a four-round guarantee), lunch, and off-court games. The clinic, featuring Paula Scheb, director of tennis and fitness at Bonita Bay, and head tennis professional Jared Kalpin, begins at 8 a.m. The tournament starts at 9.
There are additional dates on July 27 and Aug.

A tradition of summertime tennis locally is women's play that rotates among various clubs. Action is under way in both 3.0 and 3.5 NTRP divisions.
Play takes place each Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. and runs through Aug. 1 in both divisions.
To compete in the round-robin format, players need only to sign up a week in advance at the host club. The fee each week is $3.
