John R. MacArthur’s commentary in Sunday’s paper is another disgraceful piece of lynch-mob journalism, which has tried and convicted the Marines of Kilo company before any exhaustive investigation of the “alleged” massacre has been completed.
He betrays his total devotion to the left-wing policy of hatred of the military through his commentary by referring to the Marines of Kilo company as “killers,” and as “the Marines who did the killing at Haditha.”
Whatever happened to the rights of these brave men, who daily risked their lives for us, to be presumed innocent and to be guaranteed a fair trial if the investigation determines that they may have committed a crime?
It appears that, if Mr. MacArthur has his way, no trial would be necessary, since he has already convicted them.
