Raymond Louis Pratte
A bicyclist was killed this morning and a motorist has been charged in connection with his death.
The Sheriff's Office said 34-year-old Oscar Giovanny Alvarez was riding his bicycle east at about 2 a.m. on Immokalee Road about a half-mile east of Collier Boulevard when a 2003 Kia driven by Raymond Louis Pratte, 45, 2531 Wilson Blvd North, struck the tire of the bike. Alvarez suffered fatal injuries.
Officials said Pratte left the scene, but he was later brought back to the scene and charged with driving under the influence, DUI manslaughter, DUI property damage, hit and run.
