Independence Day on Sanibel

Parade down Periwinkle Way, Sanibel Island, begins at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Afterward, a community picnic with free food and beverages takes place at Sanibel Community House. Fireworks can be seen at dusk at the Sanibel Causeway. Free. Information: www.sanibelcaptivaonline.com

San Carlos Park Fourth of July Parade

The annual parade begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Ace Hardware Plaza, at Sanibel Boulevard and U.S. 41 in Estero and ends at Three Oaks Park, Three Oaks Parkway, Estero. Afterward, in the park until 1 p.m., there will be live music, carnival games, horseback rides, a bounce house, a water slide and Hope United Church's make-your-own-rocket activity for children and adults. Naples Jaycees Celebration and Fireworks

Gates open at 4 p.m. Tuesday for the 10th annual celebration at Sugden Regional Park, 4284 Avalon Drive, off U.S. 41 East, Naples. Activities include a parachute jump by the United States Special Operations Command, games, Mr. & Ms. Firecracker Contest and live entertainment.

Fireworks display with patriotic music begins at 9:15 p.m. Free admission. Food and drink available; coolers are not permitted. Parking available at the Collier County Government Center (at the corner of U.S. 41 and Airport-Pulling Road) with free shuttle service by Naples Trolley Tours.

First Home Riverfest

Street party with fireworks display, starts at 4 p.m. with fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral. Cape Coral Bridge will be closed from noon Tuesday, July 4 until 2 a.m. Wednesday, July 5. (Use Mid-Point Bridge to get to Cape Coral.) City of Naples fireworks display

The display begins at 9 p.m. Tuesday at Naples Pier, at the end of 12th Avenue South in Naples. Bring chairs or blankets to watch along the city beach from Lowdermilk Park to south of the pier.
