Bucs, Dolphins announce training camp schedules

Too early for pennant races?

Is World Cup fever breaking somewhere over the Atlantic?

Well, relax, there’s less than a month until the other football season opens.

The Tampa Bay Bucs recently announced their training camp schedule, set to open on July 28 at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex, with the Miami Dolphins starting a day later at Nova Southeastern University in Davie.

Both teams’ practices are free and open to the public, with seating at the Dolphins facility limited to the first 2,000 fans in the bleachers on the west side of the practice fields.

Miami will hold nine night workouts, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., in Davie, with one session scheduled for Aug. 8 at Dolphin Stadium.

“Having night practices last year helped keep our players fresh, not just through training camp, but for the entire season,” head coach Nick Saban said. “We accomplished a lot at camp last year, and similarly we have a lot of work to do this year as well. It should be an exciting time for our fans, and we’re looking forward to having them come out and support us throughout training camp as they did all of last year.”

Camp times for both teams are subject to change, so log on to www.buccaneers.com or call the Dolphins practice hotline at (954) 452-7004 for the most up-to-date information on workouts.
