• Art League of Marco Island, 1010 Winterberry Drive, features more than 50 art and craft classes for all ages in all media for a nominal fee. • Craft Tea Ladies meets from 1 to 3 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday at The Corner Cottage, 210 Royal Palm Drive. Interests
• American Association of University Women, Marco Island Branch, meets at 9 a.m. the third Monday of each month October through May. AAUW is a diverse group of dynamic women who believe in life-long learning. The group offers cultural activities, scholarship and community service projects, discussion groups, creative-writing and environmental studies, book clubs, gourmet dinner parties and bridge groups. • Naples chapter of the United States Amateur Ballroom Association (USA Dance) has just been established. This is a club for anyone who enjoys or wants to learn social dancing, from the amateur to competitors. Club dues include a monthly group lesson — few come with partners, everyone gets to dance. A mission of the organization is to organize and support dance programs for all ages and create affordable opportunities for the general public to participate in ballroom dance.

Family
• Homeschoolers of Marco Island meets weekly for learning activities, play groups, parent-educator support and field trips. Call Patti at 389-8078.
• La Leche League meets at noon the second Tuesday of each month in the nursery of the education wing of Marco Presbyterian Church. Meetings are open to all women interested in breast-feeding. Meetings include the latest medical information as well as the personal experiences of successful nursing mothers. Babies are always welcome. Call 394-5965.
• Mommy and Me Playgroup, utilizing natural learning rhythms, meets from 10 a.m. to noon each Wednesday at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 1101 N. Collier Blvd. Bring a snack. Call Kathy Campbell at 393-0079 for reservations.
• Mothers of Marco is a group of more than 100 members with children of all ages. Members get together with and without children regularly for fun, support and friendship. • Saturday, June 2: Leisure hike 3 miles (two and a half hours) in Estero Scrub Preserve. • Friends of Tigertail Beach Inc. is an organization dedicated to preserving, protecting and enhancing the natural features of Tigertail Beach. • Marco Bay Yacht Club, the oldest boating club on Marco Island, has monthly get-togethers, cruises and an active social calendar. Members must be a resident of Marco Island, Isles of Capri or Goodland, own a boat of at least 20 feet with a current Coast Guard Auxiliary Courtesy Marine Examination decal, provide evidence of completion of a recognized boating safety class, and complete a membership application signed by two active members. • Marco Cruise Club, including Isles of Capri and Goodland, is the oldest cruising club in the area. The club meets from 7 to 8 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month, except December, at Marco Community Bank. Monthly cruises are from two to seven days, and there are two extended cruises per year.
