Renan Dorival
A Golden Gate man was arrested on Christmas after authorities said he threatened to cut his roommate’s throat with a machete because she had a friend over to the house.
Renan Renaud Dorival, 36, 4401 20th Place S.W., was arrested just before 6 p.m. on one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
Dorival’s roommate, Lynne Michel, told deputies Dorival was mad because she had a friend over to the house, according to an arrest report. During an argument, Dorival motioned with his finger that he was going to cut her throat, authorities said.
Dorival then went into the house, came out with a machete, said he knew what to do with it and then motioned with the machete in front of his throat. Michel then called the Sheriff’s Office.
