Dancing with the Starz’ Tara Trevethan will be hosting a Weekend ‘Wine’ Down celebration from 5 to 7 p.m., July 14, at Tara Steak & Lobster House, 969 N. Collier Blvd., to benefit her charity of choice, Hospice of Naples, Marco Island and Immokalee.
The event will feature a Napa Valley Wine tasting and homemade hors d’oeuvres with live entertainment by Frances Starr.
A 50/50 raffle and prize drawings will also be held throughout the evening. Tickets are $40. All proceeds benefit Hospice, which has served the needs of Collier County’s terminally ill and their families since 1983.
"We’re offering four wines out of California that are very popular right now and some that are new to the area.¤...¤Fran, who has been singing with us for almost seven years, will be performing," said Tara Trevethan, owner of Tara Steak & Lobster House. "We thought if we paired three of people’s favorite things, great wine, food and music that it would be fun."
Some of the prize raffles include a gift certificate to Tara’s restaurant and to the Old Marco Pub.

"They’re very supportive and trying to do everything they can to help me raise money for Hospice," Trevethan said of the owners of Old Marco Pub.
Trevethan also reminds those who are interested that the entire cost of the event is tax deductible, since 100 percent of ticket sales will go directly to Hospice.
Trevethan’s next and final event for the charity competition will be a Big Band Swing Night on July 27 at the Hilton Marco Beach Resort.
