Personnel from the Marco Island Fire-Rescue Department arrived at the scene of a traffic accident last Friday afternoon at North Collier Boulevard and Barfield Drive.
According to a Marco Island Police Department traffic report, the driver of a Jeep was heading southbound on N. Collier and decided to make a left turn from a wrong lane. The driver, who struck a Dodge that was traveling northbound, stated he did not see the vehicle.
The driver of the Dodge said the Jeep pulled out in front of him while he had a green light at the intersection.
Witnesses confirmed the statements made by both drivers.
The driver of the Jeep was issued a ticket for failing to yield while making the left turn.
