After a two and one-half week investigation, two men were arrested and charged with the theft of $1,250 worth of beer from Fortunes Steak and Seafood Restaurant on N. Collier Boulevard.

Osmel Jesus Carillo, 20, of 5335 Dixie Drive, Naples and Andrew Mark Derwin, 17, of 1224 Orange Court, Marco Island were arrested earlier this month for the theft.

Anthony Charkalis, the kitchen manager of Fortune’s, reported to the Marco Island Police Department that 50 cases of beer valued at $1,200 and two kegs worth $50 were stolen between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m., June 13.

Carillo was arrested at the Marco Island Police Station and Derwin was apprehended at his home.
