Theft from a boat

Hans Koeplon reported that someone stole his GPS unit from his boat between 1 p.m. Feb. 17 and 2 p.m. March 11. The vessel was docked at his residence at 391 Waterleaf Court. The estimated value of the stolen property is $300.

DUI arrests

• A Marco Island Police Department officer observed a vehicle moving erratically at North Bald Eagle Drive and East Elkcam Circle at 2:11 a.m. March 12. When the officer conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle, he noticed a strong odor of alcohol. The driver, identified as Nicholas Bowman Donatelli, 24, of 813 Buttonwood Court, Marco Island, was asked to perform a field sobriety test and failed. Donatelli was arrested and charged with DUI. He was taken to the Naples Jail Center.

• A Marco Island Police Department officer noticed a man who appeared to be intoxicated driving a vehicle at Jamaica Road and Samoa Avenue at 3:04 a.m. March 15. After the officer conducted a traffic stop, he noticed a strong odor of alcohol. The driver, identified as David Eugene Egan Jr., 39, of Florida Club Circle, Unit 3303, Naples, was asked to perform a field sobriety test and failed. Egan was arrested and charged with DUI. He was taken to the Naples Jail Center.

• A Marco Island Police Department officer noticed a vehicle involved in several traffic offenses in the 400 block of Marco Lake Drive on March 15 at 9:25 p.m. When the officer conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle, he noticed a strong odor of alcohol. The driver, identified as James Timothy Macdade, 53, of 453 Quail Drive, was asked to perform a field sobriety test and failed. Macdade was arrested and charged with DUI. He was taken to the Naples Jail Center.

Theft from a vehicle

Randi Saphan reported that someone stole the GPS unit from her vehicle while it was parked at the Marco Island Marriott Resort between 11: 32 a.m. March 8 and 12:08 p.m. March 9. The estimated value of the stolen property is $695.

Theft reports

• Scott Dorris reported that his bike was stolen from the front lawn of his residence at 1402 Biscayne Way between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. March 12. The estimated value of the stolen property is $200.

• Kyle Giampaoli reported that someone stole fishing equipment from his boat between 1 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. March 12. The vessel was at his residence at 308 Sandhill St. The estimated value of the stolen property is $2,000.

• Toni Santos reported that someone stole a statue from her lawn at 480 Worthington St. between 7 p.m. March 14 and 12 p.m. March 15. The estimated value of the stolen property is $500.

Battery arrests

• Marco Island Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 1825 Menorca Court on March 13 at 9:49 p.m. Paige Walker reported her husband, Gilbert Yee, 52, assaulted her. After an officer observed an injury, Yee was arrested and charged with battery. He was taken to the Naples Jail Center.

• Marco Island Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at 730 Tigertail Court on March 13 at 11:59 p.m. Judith Diamond reported her husband David Diamond, 58, assaulted her. After injuries were noticed, Diamond was arrested and charged with battery. He was taken to the Naples Jail Center.

Criminal mischief

Equipment at the Recreation Center at Mackle Park was reported damaged between 7:30 p.m. March 14 and 8:30 a.m. March 15. The estimated value of the damaged equipment is $207.
