The man found dead in his boat six miles off Marco Island Tuesday has been identified as Dwight Doxsee, 72, of Naples.
Officials pronounced him dead at the scene around 3:30 yesterday after responding to reports that his boat was moving in circles in open water. He was apparently crabbing at the time.
Collier County Sheriff's Office officials said the death appeared to be medical in nature, likely a stroke or heart attack.
