Tuesday afternoon waterspouts were spotted over Marco Island, and it is possible there may be more waterspouts seen across coastal waters today.
The combination of a light low level westerly flow and atmospheric conditions poses a moderate risk of waterspouts across coastal waters today, according to the National Weather Service.
Tuesday, waterspouts were reported forming in the Gulf of Mexico, in front of the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort.
Waterspouts look like funnel-shaped clouds over the water, and they are common off coastal Florida in the summertime.
If you spot a waterspout, submit your own photos, video and first hand reports at naplesnews.com.
