“The Marco Island Residents’ Beach Park is nothing short of sensational,” says Rut McCann, Marco Island Civic Association (MICA) executive director.

The more than 20-acre park was deeded to MICA by the Deltona Corporation in 1975.

“With a multi-million dollar beach pavilion, grill and children’s’ playground added in 2006, the facilities are second to none,” McCann says. “Everything is beautifully kept and absolutely pristine.”

The Residents’ Beach, located in the center of Marco Island, has about 1,000 linear feet of white sugar sand beach front. It’s reserved for island residents who are members of the Marco Island Residents’ Beach.

On holidays and holiday weeks, the beach, all along Marco, is jammed with tourists and residents, enjoying paradise. The beachfront brings tourists back and eventually many buy condos and homes.
