What is your favorite restaurant?
Nektar, actually is. Food is not overly complicated, very healthy. The chef uses no butter, except for one plate. It’s great food.
What is your favorite meal at Nektar (downtown Naples)?
I like the whole roasted fish (red snapper).
It tastes so good!
Do you go out to eat somewhere else?
I go to USS Nemo on Tamiami Trail North. I like their miso broiled sea bass. It’s a fish dish with an Oriental flare and served with good veggies. Very flavorful. The plate is $27, I think. But when I go out with my kids, it’s mostly to eat burgers!
Do you cook at home?
I do. I cook tacos, steaks, salads. My favorite is chicken picatta. It’s a kind of breaded chicken. I prepare the sauce with cappers, garlic, parsley. I add lemon to the chicken broth and thicken it a bit with flour, a little bit like gravy. And I serve it with angel hair pasta.
