Have you been to a good restaurant lately?
Yes. The Bayhouse.
What was good about it?
The atmosphere is very unique, not like a normal restaurant. There are boats on the ceiling and you are looking at a river; very nice.
And the food?
They have a special for the summer, three courses; salad, entrée, dessert. That includes a glass of wine. Last time I was there I got a salad (there is a choice), a beef filet, and chocolate cake for dessert. The glass of wine was unusual — not just a house wine, but a very good wine. They also gave us a little tiny hors d’oeuvre. The way they presented it was very appealing. It was served on a bent spoon; salmon mousse on a cracker. The meal was not very big — new cuisine style, but had a very nice presentation . But the chocolate cake was big; it took away all of my good feelings.
What do you look for first in a restaurant?
Atmosphere is very important — and professional servers. And there should be a good relationship between the dinner and the amount they charge.
