Marco Island’s Lauren Embree was eliminated in the consolation quarterfinals Saturday at the USTA Girls 18s National Championships in Berkeley, Calif.
Embree, the No. 17 seed, fell to 12th-seeded Kristie Ahn 6-2, 6-2.
Ahn later advanced to Sunday’s final when Christina McHale withdrew with an injury. Ahn will face eighth-seeded Mallory Cecil in the final.
In the main draw, top-seeded Gail Brodsky will play No. 3 seed Coco Vandeweghe for the title today.
