Marco’s Thursday, the monthly musical and socializing get-together sponsored by the Eagle, had a different twist this time around.
To help a “green” initiative embarked upon by Rick’s Island Salon and Day Spa, the Eagle provided its popular prize wheel.
Participants became eligible for spins by dropping off empty beauty product bottles, which in turn will generate refund money to plant trees in the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge Preserve on Sanibel Island.
In addition, Rick’s is in line for winning prizes of its own in a national “green” competition organized by a national beauty product company.
