NAPLES — Spencer Clark is passionate about wine and music, and has found a creative way to combine the two. The part-time Marco Island resident tours the country presenting what he calls “Rock ’n’ Wine Dinner Shows,” an event that couples his original music with the product of his Napa Valley winery, Amizetta Vineyards. At the shows, Clark performs guitar and sings lead vocals along with backing track.
“It sounds like a band performance, except its just one guy up there,” Clark said. “‘Band-in-a-box,’ I call it.”
Clark has an album in the works, and is using talent from Southwest Florida to make it happen. All of the musicians performing with Clark are from the area, and Naples resident Robert George is producing the album. While staying in Marco Island this winter, Clark was looking for a place to record his music outside of Nashville, and found what he wanted here in Naples.
Clark’s album, “Voices,” is slated to be released this fall. The album will include a variety of genres, including a little country and of course, rock ‘n’ roll. His songs bear influences of music greats like the Rolling Stones, the Eagles and the Beatles.
