Your News: Tatum Stoller's visit to Marco Island

My name is Tatum Stoller. I am the granddaughter of a Marco Island resident, Gayle Stoller. I vacation in Marco Island for spring break a lot. I had to write a descriptive essay. I picked my story to be about my experiences in Marco and how amazing it is.

Marco Island

A place that’s the perfect temperature. A place with great restaurants with tasty, exotic foods. A place with three wonderful, sandy beaches in the Gulf of Mexico. A place to go surfing, boogie boarding, body surfing, and swimming. A place to tan. A place called Marco Island.

Every morning in Marco Island the sun gleams at the tip top of the baby blue sky, filled with clouds of cotton. When you spend your vacation at the Sea Breeze South condominiums located on North Collier Boulevard you can spend a day at the luminous pool brightened by the grand reflection of the sunshine and colossal palm trees. Before you do plan a day you might want to fill up the refrigerator and a cooler for your snacks while your out. Go shop at a near by grocery store called Publix, you’ll drive right up to the shiny red, green, white, and black sign. When you’re driving around or back to your condo you’ll see cute little, colorful houses with mailboxes shaped like manatees, dolphins, and even sea horses. There are enormous palm trees planted everywhere.

Then you get back to the pool. But while you’re at the pool you mustn’t scream or splash and jump into the cool water when elders are near, you must respect them. But if none are there…SPLASH AWAY! You can never run around the pool, because kids, that’s not safe! You can also play shuffleboard, which is right outside of the pool’s fence. Bring your cards and colorful poker set to play in the pool house. Play some brain twisting chess, or checkers, play your friends! But, that’s enough with the games, on to the MAIN event…

You can smell the sea air as you drive your surfboard strapped car towards the unfurling view of the great green blue glistening water. You’re there. The shimmery ocean water is right before your eyes. You sprint through the five-foot wave. Yuck! You taste the gritty saltwater and sand. You pick up beautiful shells and sand dollars from the sandy ocean floor.

Now you’ve done everything, you’ve gone to all the restaurants and have tasted all of the mouth-watering food. You’ve gone deep-sea fishing and caught fish that made you laugh be cause they bark, snort, weigh 80 pounds, or are almost as tall as you. Those three amazing dolphins that caught your eye were jumping right behind the boat. You’ve seen and held alligators on that glorious day at Everglade City on the noisy airboats. You’ve even tasted alligator. You’ve done it all. It was a great experience, but now the limo is leading to your house, and it’s over.

Here are some pictures form my trips double click them to view them. I am the girl with the pink cover-up, and I'm in other pictures. Some are of my brother and our friends and family, and our captain deep sea fishing, and a chair I found buried under the sand on the beach shore. I hope you enjoyed my views of Marco Island.
