Do you listen to any local bands? If so what venue? I don’t really listen to much local music. There is going to be a battle of the bands at Marco Charter. I’m one of the board members there, and I’ll be going to that.
Who is your favorite singer or what’s your favorite band? It’s between Queen and U2. That really shows my age.
I’m a fan, too. What do you like about them? I just like, uh … It’s like on American Bandstand. “I like the beat.” I’ve seen them both live. I went to Live 8 at Wimbledon Stadium. Freddy Mercury was incredible.
What’s your favorite song? “Bad” by U2.
Isn’t that Michael Jackson? U2 did one, too. I like their earlier stuff. I have a good memory of them playing “Bad” at the concert.
What do you have playing on your iPod or car stereo? Queen (she laughs). My girls have the Jonas Brothers in there too. It shows the age gap.
Who is your least favorite musical artist? Kanye West. Didn’t he say something bad after 9/11?
After Hurricane Katrina he said, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” That’s right. I don’t like rap music anyway. Probably because I don’t listen to a lot of it, but I prefer a positive message.
