The Florida Elections Commission has declared a citizen's complaint against a Marco Island corporation "legally insufficient" in a letter dated Jan. 24.
The complaint filed by Marco resident Bill McMullan argued that the corporation Celebrate Marco Inc. violated elections laws by actively supporting candidates in Tuesday's election.
Florida Elections Commission Executive Director Barbara Linthicum wrote McMullan's complaint was "legally insufficient" and that McMullan has until Feb. 7 to amend the complaint or have it dismissed.
