A one-of-a-kind photographic mural of the Everglades has been installed at Big Cypress Market Place, a new air-conditioned flea market and winery opening this summer in East Naples.
Encircling the second-floor mezzanine of the dining arena, the mural is 10 feet high and more than 390 feet long. It is comprised of six panoramic photographs taken in Everglades National Park by Naples photographer Frank Berna, who photographed each of the six 66-foot-long sections in a different area of the Everglades and at different times of the day.
“I was honored and excited to execute a project of this magnitude,” said Berna, founder of the Photography Institute of Naples. “When you view these images, you have to turn your entire body, not just your head. I wanted to give people a sense of being there, not just a view one might see looking out of a window.” Information: 262-3210.
