The Summer Wine and Art Series is an opportunity to experience a taste in wine and art. Guests will have the opportunity to sample 3 – 6 wines, enjoy some palate pleasing hors d’oeuvres and engage with this month’s featured artist in residence, Jo-Ann Sanborn. Admission is free for members of the Center for the Arts/$5 for non-members.
-- August 10 – September 28 Still Life: Further than Fruits and Flowers
A juried fine art exhibition. Reception for this exhibit will take place on Wednesday, nAugust 20 from 5:30-7 p.m. Center for the Arts hosts Chamber After Hours. Refreshments will be provided. $5 admission fee for guests; members of the Art League, Center for the Arts enjoy free admission.
Adult Educational Opportunities:
-- August 5, 12, 19, 26 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m
Beginner and intermediate oil/acrylic painting with instructor: Connie Rawlins. Fee $160 members: $120
Youth Programs:
-- Art adventures with Kim Burke
For the summer the program is offered on Tuesdays 10–11 a.m. and 4:30 –5:30 p.m.
August 5, 12, 19, 26, $40 per student, Grades K-5
Kids Arty Party with Kim Burke, Monthly on the Second Friday
August 8, 6 - 9 p.m., $30 per session
Arty Party is a program designed for children only; grades K - 5. The program involves a new art project every month, includes a pizza dinner, a dessert decorating project and mini art centers allowing the children to work on supervised projects independently. Parents, need a date night? Then this program may be what you’re looking for. The fee for additional children from the same family is $20 per child/per session. Maximum 12 children.
-- Art History For Home Schoolers with Kim Burke
Tuesdays 3:15 – 4:15 p.m.
August 19, 26, $12 per week per student , Ages 7 - 12
Established in January 2004, the Home School Art Education program is designed for home schooled children and structured to meet their art education requirements. All areas of concentration provide dedicated class time to art history and exposure to various art mediums through gallery exhibits, demonstrations by skilled artists and hands on development of art works. The organization’s mission is to promote education in and appreciation of excellence in the arts. This mission supports our goal to provide a learning experience in the arts. Tuition is $10 per week payable on a monthly basis at time of registration plus $5 per month for materials. Registration is required by Aug. 11. Classes are held every Tuesday following the in school schedule for Collier County Public Schools calender.

Now showing a collection of works by artists of the Art League, Marco Island’s Center for the Arts. This is an extended exhibit of works from the juried exhibition “…scapes”. Public is welcome to view the exhibit and sit on the deck and enjoy a beverage in the summer breeze. ON EXHIBIT now thru September 30. Can be viewed Sunday thru Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
