“Sculpting has become both an obsession and a passion for me,” says Angelika Kade, and for anyone who has observed her working in her beautiful studio, it could be an understatement.
Make your plans now to witness a magically talented artist’s works during the third “Artist Appreciation Series” event on Wednesday.
A very progressive and dynamic woman, her curiosity for anything artistic lead her through many different fields including silk painting, wearable art and art for the wall, before she discovered and explored stone sculpturing which quickly received her full attention and commitment.
While attending many workshops in the United States and Italy, she worked with several renown master carvers. With excellent skills in drawing, painting and sculpting, she finds special interest in the human body with a passion to create primarily in alabaster and marble.
Many of Kade’s sculptures will be displayed for the evening with a representation of her paintings demonstrating the enormous talent range of this internationally displayed artist of exceptional quality.
The exhibit will be held at Orion Bank, 605 Bald Eagle Drive. Refreshments will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the exhibit itself and forum discussions will be open until 8:30 p.m. Seating is limited. For reservations call 403-5169.
