There should be plenty of action in The Firecracker Tennis Spectacular on July 5 at the city’s Racquet Center.
The mixed doubles round robin will be 8 a.m. to noon. The tourney classes will be determined by the entrants. Gatorade, water, and refreshments will be provided for the participants. This event is open to the public, with a cost of $8 for a member and $12 for non-member.
Another city event is the Tennis Grand-Prix Mixed Doubles, beginning July 1. A summer tennis ladder will be determined by sign-ups. There will be A and B divisions. Once the ladder is made, matches will be posted by the Racquet Center and be arranged by the competing teams. Points will be awarded for wins and the monthly cumulative totals will determine the winners. Open to the public, the cost is $5 for a member and $10 non-members.To register for either, or both events, call 394-5454.
