The Florida D.A.R.E. Officers Association, which is on Marco Island this week for its annual conference, is hosting a car show and extreme motorcycle show Wednesday evening in the parking lot of Fleischmann Park.
The car and stunt shows will be held between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. next to the community center, according to a press release.
D.A.R.E. vehicles from all over Florida will be on display at the show. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office will be unveiling its latest D.A.R.E. vehicle at the show, and the Naples police department will have its drag race car there as well, Naples Sgt. John Barkley said.
Both the car and stunt shows are free.
"We’re just hoping for good weather," Barkley said.
