Why did you decide to join the Voices of Unity Choir? I enjoy singing. My family sings and so I thought it would be kind of fun. After a year or two I asked if I could help in some way and I became the music coordinator.

Did you have previous experience as singer? No, this is the first time I have been in a choir.

What kind of music do you like? I like spiritual music, music that has messages, music that speaks to the heart. But also I enjoy classic music, opera, and Blue grass.

What’s your favorite opera? I don’t really have a favorite one. I will be attending the opera our choir director Rebecca is in. That’s Donizetti’s Elixir of Love on March 1 at Gulf Coast High School. It is a romantic comedy about a simple farmer who falls for a wealthy girl.

What is your favorite music? I like most music, anything that’s kind of mellow, not sharp, not strong. I don’t like rap. Rap actually makes me feel upset inside; music has a way of making me feel different

What about reggaeton? I don’t know what it is, but I’d probably like it.
