A good turnout of hungry donors arrived for the Marco Island Lion's Club Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning at the United Church of Marco Island. The $5 breakfast plates, which raised money to promote children's sight and hearing health, were selling like, well, hotcakes.
Marco Lion's Club President Bruce Miles was on hand to greet donors and pour coffee.
"The money that is raised goes locally," Miles said.
Money raised from the breakfast went to free sight and hearing exams for pre-school children, guide dog training programs and school programs to assist visually impaired children.
