For several weeks, ETC readers have been reading about the history of Marco Island, and attempting to answer the History Quiz.
The drawing was held March 13 at a Planned Giving seminar and reception at M&I Bank. More than 100 persons from Marco Island and Naples entered the History Quiz contest. Of those only 19 answered all 16 questions correctly.
The two winners were: Carol Engstrom and Jeanne McCarthy, both of Marco Island. Engstrom was present and selected “Begging Pelican, late 30s.” McCarthy was unable to attend and will make her selection shortly.
Stephen Muldoon made one glicée from five different paintings. The glicées were valued at $500. He generously offered the remaining pieces for sale with half the proceeds going to the museum fund.
