On Saturday, May 3rd, the Naples Police Department won tops honors at the 3rd Annual Top Shot Challenge.
The competition, sponsored by Safari Club International, took place at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office gun range, and teams from Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Fort Myers Police Department, Internal Revenue Service, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office participated in the event.
Naples Police team leader Seth Finman and Officers Kyle Bennett, Matt Doyle and Ricardo Vazquez Jr. competed in the AR -15 rifle, twelve gauge shotgun, semi automatic handgun and revolver events.
The Naples Police team won the coveted first place overall trophy and finished first in two of the three events.
