The Lauritzen/Rush Galleries of the Art League, Marco Island’s Center for the Arts, presents “It’s All About The Media,” a fine art exhibition. This exhibit opens Sunday.

There will be a wine and hors d’ oeuvres reception to meet the artists from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

“It’s All About The Media” features four artists: color pencil artist, Jeffrey Baisden of Live Oak, Fla; pastel artist Linda Chambers of Marco Island; glass sculpture artist Rollin Karg of Kechi, Kan.; and egg tempera artist Daniel Ambrose of Ormond Beach, Fla.

Bring a friend, meet the artists, mingle among the guests, and enjoy the festive wine and hors d’oeuvres reception. All works will be for sale. The exhibit runs through Nov. 5. Open to the public. Admission is free for members of the Art League, Center for the Arts. A $5 fee is charged for other guests.

The reception is preceded by a presentation and demo in egg tempera painting by exhibiting artist Daniel Ambrose. Extensive travels throughout the United States have given Ambrose an appreciation of the rare beauty that only Florida holds. Sublime atmospheric landscapes illuminated in the clear Florida light, the aging elegance of homes weathered by decades under the southern sun and the intricate forms of endangered wildlife are preserved on his canvas for generations to enjoy.

“My essential intent in painting is to capture the essence of Florida and to celebrate her spiritual beauty in my art before it vanishes forever.” Seating is limited. First come first served. Presentation begins at 3 p.m.
