According to an e-mail from the city, South Heathwood Drive is temporarily closed Friday to through-traffic at the intersection of San Marco Road for one block south to Shenandoah Drive.
This temporary closure is necessary for the sewer installation and will initially last through Saturday morning. The contractor expects to open this road back to normal traffic status for the remainder of the weekend.
On Monday the road is expected to re-close to complete the installation which will extend to the Southwest corner of the intersection with San Marco.
The contractor has put up detour signs and has flagmen near the construction.
